I'm back in action today from the Monster Stack NLH tourney (Event #18). This tournament has a deep and slow structure, with 50k starting stacks and 60 minute blind levels. We play ten levels today, and rebuys don't actually end until after the first level of day 2. That means we won't reach the money bubble today regardless.
Level 1
Level 2
42:00 - Call a raise to 800 in position with 65s. Flop is K65. Preflop better continues for 2k, and I raise to 5500 I get called and the turn is a T. I bet 2/3 pot when checked to me and get a call. At this point, I assume I’m up against a K or pocket pair above a 6. River is a K, which counterfeits me. Check check. She shows AK, and I lose. 33k left. Still fine.
25:00 - I pick up KK UTG and make it 800 to go. The button 3! to 2500, and the bb calls. I 4! to 11k and both players fold.
15:00 - I raise to 800 from the HJ with 9c7c. The cutoff and button call. Flop is T86 with two hearts. Bingo! I check, the cut off checks, and the button leads for 1600. I call and the cutoff calls. Turn is a black 5. I check again, so does the cutoff, and the button leads for 2500. I sprint the trap and raise to 10k. Cut off folds, and the button calls. The river is a Td. That spooked me a little, so I checked with the intention to call any bet. The button checks behind. I show my flopped straight, and it’s good. Back to 53k.
8:00 - I have KT in a battle of the blinds. I see the flop at no extra charge, and it comes AT8 rainbow. The SB leads for 800, and I call figuring she’d have raised any A from the SB. The turn is a Q, and we go check check. The river is a J. SB checks. I bet 1500. SB calls, and I show her the bad news.

Im still here if you need a lesson
